Officials in Montpelier say several sculptures made from bicycle parts were damaged over the holiday weekend.
Sculptcycle project coordinator Rob Hitzig says at least four of the sculptures located throughout the Capital City were vandalized.
There are 20 of the recycled-bicycle-inspired sculptures displayed in downtown Montpelier. Artists were given $500 to create their pieces and many worked more than 100 hours on their creations.
Hitzig says he's shocked and upset by the vandalism.
Some of the damaged pieces were repaired as much as possible.
Police are investigating the vandalism.
