Radio
Vermont Public Radio broadcasts on 8 stations that serve Vermont and the surrounding region. Thirteen low-power, local translators* provide additonal coverage.
VPR, the news and cultural programming service is available throughout the state.
VPR Classical, our 24-hour classical music service is available to about 2/3 of the state. And we continue to work to make VPR Classical available state-wide.
The VPR World Channel is a collaboration with Saint Michael's College; providing the BBC World Service alongside student-produced programming.

VPR's World Channel
The World Channel is a collaboration between VPR and St. Michael's College. The VPR World Channel airs at 88.7 FM in Chittenden County during selected times, every day of the week. St. Michael's College students program the station during other hours, and the schedule is subject to change along with the academic year.

New HD Radio technology allows Vermont Public Radio to broadcast additional program streams on our FM frequencies. That means more options, with outstanding audio quality, for you.
With an HD digital radio receiver, tune to one of VPR's existing frequencies to enjoy VPR, VPR Classical and the BBC in HD.
In northern Vermont: Hear VPR on 107.9 (HD-1), VPR Classical on 107.9 (HD-2) and the BBC on 107.9 (HD-3) from our Mount Mansfield transmitter.
In the Connecticut River Valley: Hear VPR on 89.5 (HD-1) and VPR Classical on 89.5 (HD-2) from our Mount Ascutney transmitter.
In the Bennington/Manchester area: Hear VPR on 94.3 (HD-1) from our Rt. 7 Shaftsbury tower and transmitter.In Rutland region: Hear VPR on 88.7 (HD-1) and VPR Classical on 88.7 (HD-2) beginning Oct. 3 from our Grandpa Knob transmitter.
