Seven Daisy Award for Best Radio Station
Each year, readers of the Burlington-based Seven Days weekly paper pick their favorite “best” restaurants, artists, stores, festivals, journalists, politicians in the area where Seven Days is delivered. After several years as runner-up, VPR was voted best radio station.
Benchmarks for Public
Radio Fundraising Award
DEI, public radio's fundraising and marketing professional
organization awarded their first Benchmarks award to VPR. Of the 98 stations surveyed in the recent DEI
Benchmarks report, Vermont Public Radio was consistently near the 90th
percentile for individual giving per listener hour, underwriting revenue per
listener hour, major giving as a percent of individual giving, and has one of
the lowest costs per dollar raised in the industry.
My Source Radio Testimonials Award:
The Corportation for Public Broadcasting's My Source Radio Contest challenged
stations to gather and produce creative, authentic, and meaningful listener
testimonials that embody the core values of public radio.
